Here’s a look at our biggest wins from the past year:
Breaking New Ground: The Plastic Footprint Calculator V1.0 🙌
One of the most significant milestones of 2024 was the finalisation of our Plastic Footprint Calculator V1.0, made possible through Gobi’s 1% For The Planet pledge. This first-of-its-kind tool helps festival organisers, vendors, and attendees measure the environmental impact of fossil-fuel single-use plastics by tracking CO2e emissions and waste mass.
By providing data-driven insights, this calculator allows the live events industry to make more informed decisions. With a vast product library available for comparison, we’re making it easier to transition away from plastic while holding ourselves accountable.
But we’re not stopping here. We are actively seeking funding for the development of V2.0 , with a vision to evolve into a web-based, user-friendly and peer-reviewed platform accessible to both the industry and the public. It will integrate more datasets, uncovering eco-systemic impacts like microplastics, health impacts, and lifecycle costs, illustrating more vividly the direct impact of operating events out of fossil-fuel plastics.
V2.0 is now open for funding - let’s make it happen!
Earth Day & Night Weekender: An 🌎-ly Celebration of Music & Sustainability !
Last April, we took the #PlasticFreeParty globally with the Earth Day & Night Weekender, a 48-hour celebration across four cities: London, Barcelona, Austin and Los Angeles. Each city brought its unique energy, uniting artists, activists, and festival-goers in a movement that blended music, sustainability, and climate action.
From sunrise workshops to sunset DJ sets, the weekend showcased the power of collective action, proving that partying responsibly isn’t just possible: it’s the future. Special thanks to all our partners, volunteers, artists, and attendees who turned Earth Day into a crescendo of hope for a plastic-free music industry.

Zero Plastic Club & #RamèneTaGourde 🚰
Over a year ago, 24 pioneering venues in France joined forces with Bye Bye Plastic and Culture Nuit to form the Zero Plastic Club, pledging to eliminate single-use plastic water bottles by the end of 2024.
🚀 Our impact so far:
4.2 tonnes of plastic avoided per year
18.7 tonnes of CO2e emissions saved
306,300+ single-use cups replaced annually
Building on this success, we launched #RamèneTaGourde, a nationwide campaign encouraging clubs, bars, and festivals to allow and promote reusable bottles. Despite limited resources, this grassroots effort gained incredible traction, proving that radical collaboration and community engagement can reshape nightlife culture.
2025 will see a 2nd chapter spring out in the summertime, expanding its impact beyond clubs and into festivals and outdoor events. Let’s keep this momentum rolling and rooting for cultural change!
Stay tuned for the 2-Year Zero Plastic Club impact report coming hot next week!

Padel with a Purpose: Big Hit Padel Tournament

🌍 Our highlight of the weekend
Our Wall of Plastic-Free Wonders - an interactive, curiosity-sparking activation that inspired kids and adults alike to reimagine a world free of fossil-fuel plastics.
With generous contributions from the Raphael Family Foundation & The Wiggins Foundation, we reached half of our ambitious fundraising goal. Let’s bring even bigger impact in 2025!
